Often times in life, one of the most special retreats from society is a honeymoon following a wedding.
After the build up to the wedding, the new couple is able to get away to retreat from the busy chapter of life, leading up to their celebration of their marriage.
Grace Legacy Joy Inc. has developed the term, "Heavenmoon" which mirrors this principle after one's spouse transitions into heaven. The remaining spouse and their children are rebuilding as a family here on earth.
The build up to the memorial leaves them emotionally exhausted. Grace Legacy Joy Inc. wants to support the process for these families to make space and create an intentional step to take a break to process this major life change. In our society, it appears many have to get right back into the normal pace of life, just to keep their heads above water.
For many families, the fast-paced world of school schedules, sports, work requirements, homework, traffic jams and laundry make families who are trying to heal and rebuild, feel spread thin and helpless.
A Heavenmoon goes against the call of culture to quickly move on and jump back into society.
We believe, God is calling His children to come to His presence, sit, and stay a while; look out into nature, let music sooth the soul, read, write, draw, cry, sing, stare out into the fire. The Lord is there to hold them as they hold a warm cup of coffee and think, now what?
Heaven holds their loved one. The Lord is with everyone in heaven and on earth.
As it is written, "May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." (Numbers 6:26).
Don’t we all need more peace?
Grace Legacy Joy Inc. wants to share the vision of this special time for the spirit of the Lord to help these hurting families with children who have lost a parent to have this time to rest and retreat. These families need to reestablish, after the loss of their family member when the memorial is over and they are assessing and adjusting their lives.
The Lord is the author of the time while they are there.
The goal is that their gifted, complimentary stay is a week or weekend long getaway from them to process life and rebuild in a relaxing environment. This is a vision that God has given and the need is evident.
We are sharing this vision, with future hope that it will take root in the right timing, based on God’s will for this. It is simple. The goal is to help provide peace at a time that is not charted out in life for these families.
Just imagine the good it would do!

Long-Term Vision
Grace Legacy Joy Inc. is the Lord’s.
We do not know what the future holds, but we know who holds the future. We are stepping forward in faith and sharing what we feel God has given, so that as He sees fit, the roots of this vision unfold.
Grace Legacy Joy Inc. wants to share the vision of this important time for God’s children to step away from society and focus on “Emmanuel”, God With Us.
This idea is intended to be a restful retreat for the families as a time to reflect, pray, heal, and process their life change, when a parent passes away. Families need to be given time to step away from society and the pace of everyday life to refresh. Rest and retreating when change is upon us is a vital step in perspective.
For those blessed to have a place to share with a family whose world has been through this sadness, one can ask themselves:
Who is a legacy in your life, who is no longer on this earth?
What did they do in their life, that shaped yours?
How can you honor them and their legacy here on earth, for the good of another?
We all have benefitted from the lives of those who have gone before us.
We are a product of their love invested and the example given from their time on earth.
